UPDATE 17th June 2020

The NI Assembly announced that Hotels could open from the 3rd July - Drinks indoors can only be served with a 'moderate meal offering' of £9 or more per person. Drinks outdoors will be via a dispense bar and socially distanced tables. You do not need to order food when drinking outside. Please be patient with us as we are given details day by day on how and where we can and can't serve certain food and drinks.

If you have a wedding booked for any date in 2020 and are unsure of the numbers you can have, or what entertainment you are allowed - again unfortunately we have been left in limbo by the Assembly on this and cannot advise you any further. It feels terribly unhelpful and unnatural as hospitality professionals not to be able to give you any assurances. But we are left with no information to give you. There is no government guidance given to hotels in Northern Ireland regarding your queries that isn't in the public domain on the regular briefings at Stormont. We can only apologise and hope some more details follow very soon.


We are unable to give ‘definitive’ yes or no agreements for things to happen. Pretty much everything is beyond our control. Please understand we want to function normally as much as you and we are not ‘doing this’ to anyone. You have all been really lovely and understanding. And we know tensions are high when important plans are skuppered and our phones going to voicemail now is a bit frustrating - but we are doing EVERYTHING we can and our response rate has been from a few seconds to a few hours with almost no staff. When we speak we sort it out! Thank you so so much.



As at 17th June 2020 the executive are planning to permit outdoor wedding ceremonies of up to ten people. There is no indication of limits on numbers for your reception. The Old Inn Reserves the right, per contract, to offer a change of date to your booking should your numbers be restricted for reasons beyond our control. Your quotation is based on the number of guests and the provision of food, drinks, room hire, accommodation and services for those guests. Should you number of guest dramatically change or the offering content significantly change, we reserve the right to offer a move of date or offer the same date at the quoted, fixed price and not on a 'per person' or pro-rata basis.


The position on Deposits during this difficult time is as follows;
If The Old Inn is holding a deposit for your wedding reception and you wish to change your event date for health or other reasons surrounding COVID-19, we will gladly move your deposit to an alternative date, where available. 
If your celebrant or registrar cancels your wedding ceremony, this is beyond our control. Deposits will not be refundable in this instance however we will move your reception date as above. 
If we are closed due to government action we will also offer to move your date to another date. We would consider this force majeure and the deposit agreement would still remain intact, per the wedding terms agreement 17.1;
Neither party shall have any liability under or be deemed to be in breach of these Terms and Conditions for any delays, loss of electrical power or failure in performance of these Terms and Conditions which result from circumstances beyond the reasonable control of that party.


We have suspended all bedroom bookings for check in dates until 3rd July 2020. We will try to call each booking personally however please don’t be offended if we email you to cancel. This is to expedite the process without having to call us to cancel, worried that we might charge you. Don’t worry.


The ‘event horizon’ of reopening is set by NHA and government. The best outcome for all is that the forced closure is lifted just before your event. Then we are ALL happy. But we understand if you wish to cancel or move your date. It would be super lovely if you to move it later in the year as we will struggle as a family business otherwise.


We have automatically changed the expiry date for ALL currently issued gift cards to expire 6 months after the date stated on your card wallet. So you can use them later. Anyone wanting to buy cards currently (online only) we will also give this 18 month promise to.
