Brendan Mc Cann, General Manager of The Old Inn for the past 22 years, proudly received the prestigious award of Professional of The Year (Large Business sector), at this years' Janus Awards, organised by the Institute of Hospitality.
This honourable achievement, pays tribute to Brendan's dedication to The Old Inn; his long term industry experience; and his success over the years to drive the business forward. Under Brendan's watchful eye, The Old Inn currently operates as one of the most prestigious hotels in Northern Ireland offering excellence in hospitality and a character and charm like no other.
Heading the team at The Old Inn, Brendan constantly looks to the future with clear vision for success. A true professional in his field and a talented businessman, Brendan is exemplary in his position as General Manager.
2008 also marks a landmark year for the hotel, under the ownership of the Rice family for a quarter if a century. A number of recent industry awards have been received in the past year including: Hotel of The Year 2007 awarded by NITB; Finalist for Hotel Receptionist of the Year; Finalist for Best Website; Winner of Excellence in Hospitality and Customer Care.
The hotel has also received recognition from the AA as a 4 star establishment and having received this classification, the business is being strategy driven to improve the quality operation here at The Old Inn, with the customer as the key focus.
