The Old Inn prides itself on the excellent cuisine produced by a team of industry award-winning Chefs. Restaurant 1614 is well known in the North Down and Belfast areas as one of the most popular eating establishments with a regular following of customers.
The excellent service and quality facilities are maintained by a professional team of staff, with years of industry experience and knowledge. Each new employee undergoes a detailed induction programme followed by on the job training and work shadowing where required. A series of training initiatives are also progressed throughout the course of the calendar year, from product knowledge such as wine tasting, and food sampling to silver service training and computer skills.
The Old Inn is assessed continually by the NITB, Environmental Health, RAC, NI Best Kept Secrets, as well as visits from the tourist related bodies, Invest NI and other progressive institutions from Northern Ireland and the UK.
The hotel is also currently involved in the Investors in People Award which should be successfully completed by the end of 2006.
